Do you build the carpentry yourselves, or use a subcontractor?

We build it ourselves. IS Design Studio fabricates its carpentry at its own factory in Kallang Pudding, so the team that designs your kitchen cabinets and wardrobes is the team that makes them.

Yes. We take on carpentry-only projects as well as full renovations — from kitchen cabinets and built-in wardrobes to a single feature wall. Our Silat Avenue cabinet customisation is one example. Every carpentry-only job starts with a site measurement and an itemised quote.

What board do you use for kitchen cabinets?

We specify moisture-resistant board for kitchens and other wet areas, and confirm the exact board, finish and edge treatment for every piece in your itemised quote.

What makes custom carpentry last?

Three things: the board under the finish, hardware rated for daily use, and precision at every join — grain that continues across panels, even gaps between doors and a carcass that sits flush against walls that are rarely perfectly straight.

How does your carpentry process work?

We assess and measure the site, specify board, finish and hardware in an itemised quote, fabricate every piece at our own factory, then install, adjust and hand over.

What happens if a cabinet door stops closing properly after handover?

We rectify defects after handover. Because we fabricate in-house, we know exactly how each piece was built and can put it right without passing responsibility to a third party.
